COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — After anchoring the No. 20 ranked Regis University volleyball team to a pair of road wins over the weekend, extending the team's win streak to seven, senior setter Mara LeGrand was honored as the RMAC Setter of the Week on Monday.
The announcement marks the third straight week that the Rangers have had a player win a conference award as LeGrand joins sophomore middle blocker Amelia Davis (Offensive) and junior outside hitter Halle Theis (Offensive).
LeGrand helped the Rangers recorded a triple-double in Friday's five-set victory over Fort Lewis where she tabbed 10 kills, 14 digs and an astonishing 45 assists.
The Omaha, Neb., concluded the weekend with 31 assists and two kills in a Saturday sweep of Western Colorado, running a Rangers' offense that hit over .400 as a team in the sweep of the Mountaineers.
LeGrand currently stands third in the RMAC this season with 446 assists after closing the weekend with 76 assists and 12 kills.
Regis will be back on its home floor this Friday and Saturday when it hosts South Dakota Mines (5 p.m. Friday) and Black Hills State (3 p.m. Saturday) as part of Blue & Gold Weekend.
