DENVER, Colo. – The Regis University softball team closed out its home weekend against the No. 12 Colorado Christian University Cougars on Sunday, going 0-2 on the day and 1-3 on the weekend.
The Rangers (21-17 overall, 18-10 RMAC) leveled with the Cougars (36-3 overall, 26-1 RMAC) in Game Four but fell, 4-1. Game Three saw four hits but Regis dropped that game, 9-0.
Game Two | How It Happened: Freshman designated hitter Sienna Reed led all Rangers in hits with two and generated Regis' lone score of the game.
Sophomore right-hander Kylie Harpman threw her season's third-highest strikeouts with 10 and only three walks. Senior Abby Covington threw the final inning and generated a 1-2-3 inning with a strikeout, ground out, and fly out.
Game One | How It Happened: The Cougars offense exploded in Game Three behind Kali Crandall for nine runs and kept the Rangers off the scoreboard.
Sophomore Miia Campos continued her hitting campaign with two hits to top the Rangers' lineup.
Up Next: The Rangers continue their home stand with a four-game series against New Mexico Highlands University starting Friday, April 7. First pitch is scheduled for 12 p.m. (MT).
