COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) released the results of the Women's Soccer RMAC Coaches' Preseason Poll on Wednesday ahead of the 2023 season.

Regis University, fresh off its run to the 2022 RMAC Tournament championship game, came in at No. 3 with 112 vote points, just behind the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs (116 points) and defending champions, Colorado School of Mines (131 points).

The Rangers and UCCS each earned one first-place vote, while Colorado School of Mines garnered nine first-place votes. Westminster College also received one first-place vote and came in at No. 4 with 107 points, while MSU Denver (96 points) rounded out the top-5.

Regis finished 12-7-2 overall and 9-2-1 in the RMAC last season in the team's first year under head coach Jeff Frykholm. They are set to welcome back 15 returners, including RMAC Player to Watch selections in seniors Kelby Kuo and Sophia Leone.

Kuo tied for the team lead in goals scored in 2022 with seven en route to earning Second Team All-Region and First Team All-RMAC honors.

As for Leone, the defenseman earned All-RMAC Honorable Mention as a junior after logging 1,587 minutes across a Regis back row that limited opponents to just 21 goals against in 21 games played; the fifth fewest in the RMAC.

Regis is set to open the 2023 season on Friday, September 1 with a home non-conference game against Chico State. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Regis Turf Fields.
