LEXINGTON, Ky. – The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) has officially released its first 2024 Regular Season Top 25 Coaches Poll, and the Regis Rangers come in at #24. RU collected a total of 121 points in the poll.
RU was ranked #13 in the Preseason Poll, but faced a tough opening weekend, going 1-3 at the Colorado Mines Oredigger Classic. Following a loss to Michigan Tech, the Rangers downed Concord University (W.V.), but then fell to #5 Concordia-St. Paul and Missouri Western State. Senior middle Amelia Davis and senior libero Bre Skala were both selected to the All-Tournament team.
Regis now looks ahead to the Colorado Premier Challenge, joint hosted by Regis and Metropolitan State University – Denver, September 13 and 14. RU takes on #9 West Texas A&M and #4 Missouri-St. Louis on Friday, with bracket play on Saturday TBD.
