SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Regis University Men's Soccer team traveled to Westminster College (Utah) for a neutral site game against Seattle Pacific University on Thursday evening. The Rangers fell to the Falcons, 1-0, falling to 0-1-4 on the year. SPU improves to 2-2-1.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The teams traded early shots on goal, with two coming from Liam Corr. However, Seattle Pacific would get on the board in the 15th minute on a goal by Carter Gay. Corr immediately added two more on-target attempts, but they would both be saved as well. RU goalkeeper Greg Squire recorded a pair of saves of his own to close out the half, keeping the score at 0-1.
The defenses would step up in the second half, as the Falcons had two shots on goal, both saved by Squire, and the Rangers only attempted three shots, two by Dalio Pekovic and one from Stanley Nash.
