DENVER, Colo. – The Regis University Women's Soccer team dropped their RMAC conference opener on the road at Metropolitan State University – Denver on Thursday night, 0-2.
The Rangers fall to 1-6-1 (0-1 RMAC) on the year, while the Roadrunners improve to 2-1-4 (1-0 RMAC).
HOW IT HAPPENED
After Grace Glover saved two early shots by MSUD, the Roadrunners would find the back of the net at 13:01 on a goal by Madrid Mack. After another Glover save, Alex Baer took the rangers first shot of the match. Less than a minute later, Natalie Bunch took an on-target attempt that was saved by Kylie Back. The teams traded shots late in the half, with Elsa Nolen landing one on goal, but the match went into break, 0-1.
Metro State extended their lead with a second goal just four minutes into the second half. Glover saved another goal 15 minutes later, but from there, the defenses would step up, as over the final 24 minutes, only one shots would be taken, by Madison Cullinan in the 89th minute.
