DENVER, Colo. – The Regis University Women's Soccer team concluded the 2025 regular season with a 3-1 win at home over Black Hills State University (S.D.) on Wednesday night. The Rangers improve to 10-4-4 (^-3-3 RMAC), while the Yellow Jackets fall to 5-9-5 (1-8-3 RMAC).
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Yellow Jackets took the first shot of the game, and found the net, off a throw-in and one touch pass. That would wake up Regis, as they attempted three quick shots, including an on-goal shot from Brielle Bickham. That was followed by four straight shots on goal for Regis, including two by Fernanda Rodriguez, before she scored an unassisted goal at 31:19. Brooke Castillo quickly followed that with a goal just three minutes later. Avery Van Natter added one more shot before the half, and Regis took the lead into the break.
BHSU took the first shot of the second, just 15 seconds in, and Regis responded with a give-and-go between Natalie Bunch and Rodriguez for the Bunch score. Maggie Payne saved a shot by Black Hills in the 64th minute, and the Rangers defense would be suffocating from there out, allowing just one more attempt in the entire match. Van Natter and Mya Pasion each put late shots on target, and RU cruised to the 3-1 win.
