HOW IT HAPPENED

Both teams continued trading baskets, with back-to-back layups from Jalen Brown and a jumper from Egun, giving RU the lead at 27-26. South Dakota Mines ended the half with an eight-point run, leading at the break 34-28.

Egun started the second half with two back-to-back threes, both assisted by Sanders. South Dakota Mines answered with a ten-point run, capped off with a triple and a fast break layup from Brown. RU took control, going on a 23-point run, which started with Lambert's layup, 12 points from Brown, and a three from Mayo Harmon. Brown nailed two free throws to end the game, and the Rangers won 70-57.
