HOW IT HAPPENED
The Orediggers jumped out to a 10-0 lead to start the game, before a Trey Bryant layup got the Rangers on the board. Jalen Brown then added a pair of jumpers but CSM held onto a commanding lead. Kobe Sanders and Eddy Egun contributed baskets, and five straight points from Brown cut the lead to 22-16. However, Mines pushed the lead back to double digits after a Jalen Page layup. Egun converted an and-one, but the Orediggers ended the half on a 12-2 run, and took a 41-23 lead into halftime.
Egun scored six points early out of the break, but consecutive Ranger turnovers helped Mines balloon their lead to 55-29 before Quinn Lambert's steal set up a Bryant fast break layup. Following a Mines dunk, the teams went on a two-minute scoring drought. Egun got the lid off the basket for Regis with two free throws, and Sanders added a floater, but the Orediggers were able to match each bucket. Chase Mayo Harmon found Brown for three with 7:24 left, followed by another three assisted by Dylan Forbord. Despite seven late points from Brown, the Orediggers cruised to the 83-52 win.
