Rangers Compete in Final Pre-Conference Meet

GOLDEN, Colo. – The Regis University Women's Track and Field team competed in their final meet before the RMAC Conference Meet on Thursday. 

Two Rangers earned two gold medals. Lindsey Cure had a mark of  44.47m (145' 11") in the javelin throw. Cure's mark is the best in the RMAC by over three meters, and ranks 18th in all of DII.

Brynn McNair and Dorothy Freeman competed in the high jump, clearing 1.53m (5;.25"). Bryn McNair took 1st, while Dorothy Freeman was 3rd, based on attempts.

Caitie Slattery was 10th in 1,500 meter run with a time of 5:04.19, while Allie Braney was 12th in the 5,000 with a mark of 20:37.66.

Six Rangers ran in the 100 meter dash, including Alex Baer (11th, 14.50), Madilyn Gifford (12th, 14.66), Valeria Bustos (13th, 14.98), Abigail Blanner (14th, 15.95), Kimberly Salazar (15th, 16.33), and Marisa Martinez (16th, 20.20).

The Rangers now look ahead to the RMAC Championship Meet on April 25-27 at Mines.
