Cure Competes at the NCAA Championship Meet

PUEBLO, Colo. – The NCAA Division II National Outdoor Track and Field Championships held the Women's Javelin competition on Saturday, and Regis University's Lindsey Cure represented the Rangers on the highest stage.

Cure qualified for the Javelin throw competition, in the first meet of the season, and surpassed the qualifying mark in each meet. The fourth thrower in the first flight, she would improve with each attempt. Her first mark was 41.03m (139'7"), her second climbed to 42.02m (137'10"), and her best came in her final throw, reaching 42.09m (138'1").

Overall, Cure placed 17th out of 22 competitors.

On the season she earned three gold medals, and two silver in six meets leading up to the national competition. She was the RMAC Javelin Champion, and First-Team All-RMAC.
