Paniagua Named RMAC Player of the Year; Five Rangers Collect All-RMAC Honors

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. – The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference announced the 2025 All-RMAC Teams and major awards on Wednesday. Five Rangers have been honored by the league, including Adam Paniagua being named the RMAC Player of the Year.

Paniagua is the first Ranger to ever win the RMAC Player of the Year Award. He currently leads all of NCAA DII with 96 runs batted in while also ranking among the division's Top 10 in batting average (10th, .437), home runs (3rd, 26), runs scored (9th, 71), and slugging percentage (2nd, .958). He also leads the conference in slugging %, OPS (1.480), and hits (83). At catcher, he posted 285 put outs and 26 assists on .994 fielding %, and caught 15 runners stealing. For the Rangers, he set new single season records for home runs and RBIs, he currently holds the best-ever slugging %, and is top-10 in hits, runs scored, and total bases. He is a repeat First-Team selection from 2024.

Joining him on the First-Team is a 2024 Second-Team honoree, Clayton Conn. Conn led the RMAC with 27 stolen bases while scoring 69 runs (4th RMAC), being walked 43 times (2nd), posting three triples (T-4th), and recording a .500 on base % (9th). He added a 1.012 OPS with 57 hits, 48 RBIS, 12 doubles, and four home runs. His stolen base and runs scored totals both rank top-5 for single season marks for RU, and tied the single-game record with five runs scored. At shortstop, he posted 116 assists (3rd) and added 69 put outs, while turning 17 double plays.

The final First-Team selection for Regis is relief pitcher Noah McCandless. He is tied for the most saves in the league with seven, while also posting a 4-2 record in 18 appearances. He held opponents to a .254 batting average with a 3.77 ERA. He allowed just 30 hits in 31.0 innings pitched and struck out 29 batters.

Garrett Rede made his second straight All-RMAC second team, while also collecting the RMAC Center Field Gold Glove. He posted a perfect fielding percentage with 104 put outs and three assists, including one double play. On offense, he led the conference, being hit by 19 pitches, while being top-10 in triples (3), RBIS (53), and on base percentage (.500). On the year, he earned 60 hits (13 doubles, seven home runs), and 55 runs scored on .387 batting average, 1.145 OPS, and .645 slugging %.

The final Ranger to earn All-Conference was Second-Team starting pitcher Nick Jacobs. Jacobs started 11 games and pitched 51.2 innings, putting together a 5-1 record. He posted the second-lowest ERA in the RMAC (4.88), while allowing 63 hits (2nd) and 32 runs (2nd). Batters hit just .300 against him (3rd), were walked just 19 times (6th), and his five wins were the eight most in the league.

The RAMC Tournament starts today, and the No. 2 seeded Rangers battle No. 5 Adams State University at 7 pm.
