Schallmoser Earns CSC Second Team Academic All-America

AUSTIN, Texas – The 2024-25 Academic All-America® Women's At-Large Team teams have been officially released by College Sports Communicators (CSC), and Regis University Women's Lacrosse senior midfielder Madeline Schallmoser represents the Rangers of the Second Team.

This is Schallmoser's first Academic All-American nod. She is the fifth ranger to be selected to the All-American Second Team, and the first since Ali Vanek (2020).

The Downers Grove, Ill. native graduated this year with a major in English, and a spotless 4.0 GPA. Academically, she has been named CSC Academic All-District, Academic All-RMAC, RMAC Academic Honor Roll, the RMAC Women's Lacrosse Summit Award winner, the Regis S.J. O'Sullivan Memorial Award for Excellence in Writing, and the Marshall McLuhan Mass Media Award.

On the field, the RMAC Defensive Player of the Year received an All-America Honorable Mention nod from USA Lacrosse Magazine, while also being named IWLCA First Team All-Region, First Team All-RAMC, and RMAC All-Tournament Team. She was among the nation's leaders in ground balls collected (56), forced 28 turnovers, scored 11 goals, and assisted on four. Schallmoser controlled 15 draws and landed 28 shots on goal.

The CSC Academic All-America® Women's At-Large Team was selected by CSC membership from a list of 12 women's sports that do not have their own Academic All-America® programs. There were 15 student-athletes voted to the first team, 18 to the second, and 12 to the third. Schallmoser was one of 18 lacrosse players selected, and the only RMAC athlete on the second team.
