DENVER, Colo. – United Soccer Coaches has released its third weekly Women's Soccer Top 25 Coaches Poll, and the Rangers continue to receive votes.
Regis has been receiving votes for three consecutive weeks.
The Rangers went 1-0-1 last week. Fernanda Rodrigues led RU to a 3-1 win over Emporia State University (Kan.), netting a hat trick with five shots on goal, including a successful penalty shot. Then on Sunday, the Rangers held California State University, San Bernardino scoreless in a 0-0 tie. Regis held the Coyotes to only two shots on target, as Helen Stegner and Kayla Arucan both recorded a save.
The Rangers 4-1-1 non-conference start to the season marks one of the strongest starts in program history. The Rangers did not drop a match at home, and their lone defeat came on the road at #15 Dallas Baptist University (Texas) (now ranked #4), 0-2. RU's best win came in a 2-1 home victory over #21 Seattle Pacific University (now ranked #18).
Regis now looks ahead to RMAC play, starting on Friday at Adams State University.
Three other RMAC teams appear in the poll as well, including #9 Colorado School of Mines, #20 Colorado Mesa University, and (RV) Westminster University (Utah). For the full poll, click here.
