DALLAS, Texas – The Regis University Women's Soccer Team lost on the road to Dallas Baptist University (Texas), the #15 Ranked Team in the United Soccer Coaches Top 25 Coaches Poll, 0-2 on Saturday night. The Rangers fall to 1-1-0, while the Patriots improve to 2-0-0.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Regis keeper Helen Stegner would get action early, with two saves before the 12-minute mark. Brielle Bickham would take the first shot for the Rangers, but it would go out top. Fernanda Rodriguez would follow that with another shot before two more Stegner saves. Mya Pasion took the final shot of the half, and the teams went into the break in a 0-0 tie.
While Elsa Nolen would take the first shot of the second half, DBU took the lead with an Angelina Olmos goal in the 49th minute. Back-to-back shots by Nolen and Brooke Castillo were unable to find the net, and Morgan Black's shot on goal was saved by the Dallas Baptist keeper. With 13 minutes left in the game, the Patriots added an insurance goal, securing the 2-0 win.
