KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The United Soccer Coaches have released the eighth edition of its Men's Soccer Top 25 Coaches Poll, and Regis has moved up to #17
The Rangers were receiving votes in the last two rankings, but now match their season peak of #17, which they reached in the Week 3 vote. RU has been at least receiving votes in every regular season poll.
Regis has won their last four matches, allowing just a single goal in that span. They defeated Colorado Mesa on Friday, 3-0, in a match where Liam Corr recorded five points from two goals and an assist. Blaise Richard added an assist, while Jacobo Betancourt-Tovar scored the third goal. On Sunday, Richard, Betancourt-Tovar, and Joakim Gunnar all scored, with Jan Grillitsch recording an assist in a 3-1 win. Zach Jennings had three saves on the weekend, and RU outshot their opponents 41-16 on the weekend.
This weekend, Regis has road matches at Adams State (Friday, 3 pm) and Fort Lewis (Sunday, 1 pm). The Rangers lead the Skyhawks by one point on the RMAC table. If Regis wins out, they guarantee a top two seed and a first round bye in the RMAC Tournament.
The Rangers also rank eighth in the latest NCAA Power Index (NPI) and fifth in the Super Region 4.
