DENVER, Colo. – The Regis University Volleyball team played their final home match of the 2026 season on Saturday evening, falling to Colorado Mesa University, 0-3 (13-25, 8-25, 17-25). The Rangers fall to 4-22 (2011 RMAC), while the Mavericks climb to 19-5 (10-2 RMAC).
HOW IT HAPPENED
After falling behind early, Morgan Munro put down a kill, followed by an ace, and Maddie Lynett added a kill, but CMU still built a 12-5 lead. Jacie Kaniho's kill and Munro's solo block scored late points for the Rangers, but CMU took the first, 25-13.
Kailyn Polzin started the second with a kill, and Munro assisted a block with Alayna Pruitt, but a big run gave the Mavericks a 12-4 advantage. Kaniho and Polzin ended the streak, but another one started, interrupted by Mesa errors, and the Mavs won the second frame, 25-8.
Polzin and Sabrina Landman led the offense early in the third set, while Kendal Allaire added to the attack. Munro recorded back-to-back kills to keep the set close, and Landman's kill helped start a late run for RU that was highlighted by an Allaire kill and Aaliyah Rodrakkwan ace. However, the Mavericks took back the momentum, and despite a late kill from Lynn Sanders, CMU won, 25-17.
