Rangers Enter Postseason Ranked #15

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Regis University Men's Soccer team has been ranked #15 in the latest Top 25 Coaches Poll by the United Soccer Coaches.

The Rangers were voted#15 in last week's poll, and have been at least receiving votes in each regular season poll. #15 is the highest mark for RU since the eighth poll in 2016, when RU ranked #7.

RU closed out the regular season last Wednesday with a 5-1 win over Colorado School of Mines, claiming the fourth RMAC Regular Season Title in Ranger history, and seventh title overall.

Michael Ajagbe and Jacobo Betancourt-Tovar both scored twice in the match, and Jaokim Gunnar added the final score. Liam Corr, Johan Murillo, and Kaden Riedel each added an assist, and Zach Jennings posted three saves. Betancourt-Tovar was voted the RMAC's final Offensive Player of the Week.

After claiming the conference crown, Regis earned a first-round bye in the conference tournament and will host a semifinal match against No. 5 Westminster on Wednesday, November 4 at 7 pm. The winner will battle the winner of #2 CSU Pueblo and South Dakota Mines in the Championship Match on Saturday, November 7.

The Rangers are ranked fourth in NPI in the Super Region 4, with the top 10 teams in each Super Region earning a national tournament bid.
