Rangers Collect Four Major Awards, Six Players Earn All-RMAC

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The 2026 RMAC Men's Soccer Champions Regis Rangers have collected four major All-Conference awards and six All-RMAC selections, the conference announced on Thursday.

In his sixth season as the Rangers' head coach, Taylor Diem has been voted the league's Coach of the Year. Diem joins his own coach Tony McCall (2012, 2013) as the only Rangers to be voted the league's top Coach. Diem led the Rangers to their fourth Regular Season RMAC crown, going 8-1-1 in conference play, and posting the highest win percentage (.850) since 2012, when RU went 14-0. The Rangers led the RMAC in goals scored in league games (28), and allowed the fewest goals against (7). Regis currently sits at 11-3-4, playing one of the most stacked schedules in the nation, including eight matches against ranked teams, going 2-3-3. The Rangers have been at least receiving votes in each of the United Soccer Coaches Top 25 Coaches Polls, and currently sit at #15, the highest ranking since the eighth poll in 2016, when RU ranked #7.

Jacobo Betancourt-Tovar becomes the sixth Ranger to be voted the RAMC Player of the Year, after leading the Rangers to the RMAC Title and leading the conference in goals scored with 11. Betancourt-Tovar's season was highlighted by a historic performance at Adams State, in which he scored four goals and recorded eight points, both tying Regis records. The senior midfielder's 11 goals already put him into the top 10 single-season marks for RU, and his five game-winners rank top three. On the season, he has 11 goals on 60 shots and 26 SOG, and one assist in 1334 minutes of play. Betancourt-Tovar was Second-Team All-RMAC in 2025, First-Team in 2024, and an Honorable Mention in 2023.

Abram Wilson is the third Ranger to be named the Defensive Player of the Year, and the first since Taylor Diem earned the honor in 2012. The senior defender has played 1549 minutes over 17 matches as the leader of the Rangers' top defense. Opponents have only taken 126 shots against RU, the lowest mark in the league. Wilson has also added two goals scored on just four shots, and two assists for six points.

The final major award winner, Zach Jennings, is the first Ranger to ever collect the RMAC Goalkeeper of the Year Award. Jennings posted an 11-3-4 record in the goal, with a league-leading seven shutouts. The junior keeper totaled 41 saves and a 67. goals against average, while totaling a .774 save %. He has entered the top 10 single season marks for RU in wins, shutouts, and games started. Jennings was voted Honorable Mention in 2025.

The three major award winners all earned a spot on the All-RMAC First-Team, and are joined by Liam Corr.

Corr picks up the second First-Team All-RMAC selection of his career (2024, HM in 2023). The senior forward was second on the team with 15 points, coming from six assists and five goals. Six assists rank him top-five in the conference. Corr had one game-winner in his 975 minutes played, he took 39 shots, and put 16 on goal.

Jan Grillitsch is the lone Ranger to earn a spot on the All-RMAC Second-Team, the first All-RMAC accolade of his career. He matched Corr's six assists for the team lead and top five league mark. The junior midfielder also scored three goals, one game-winner, for 12 total points. Grillitsch played 987 minutes, taking 30 shots, and putting 12 on target.
