COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Regis University Women's Indoor Track and Field team competed at the 2026 Colorado Running Company Mountain Lion Open, hosted by UCCS, on Saturday.
Allie Braney led the Rangers as the top performer in the 5,000-meter run, finishing in 18:35.16, winning the event by four seconds.
In the 800, Caitie Slattery took second place with a time of 2:21.90, just a second behind the first-place finisher. Mila Stamper took seventh in the event (2:29.15), while Valeria Bustos was 13th (2:54.59).
Madilyn Gifford posted a time of 5:53.26 in the mile, taking 14th.
A trio of Rangers ran in the 60-meter dash, with Adison Kahler taking 23rd (8.22), MaKaylee Harris taking 25th (8.35), and Arabella Hebinck taking 30th (8.80). Harris also ran in the 200, placing 10th at 29.48 seconds.
Kahler, Slattery, Stamper, and Gifford made up the second-place 4x400-meter relay team for RU.
In field events, Hebinck was 13th in the triple jump (10.33m), while Marisa Martinez and Kimberly Salazar were 21st (8.71m) and 22nd (8.59m) in the shot put, respectively.
Bustos (800), Gifford (Mile), Harris (60, 200), Hebinck (60), and Slattery (800) all recorded personal bests on the day.
The Rangers have a final meet before the conference championship meet, at the Colorado Last Chance Meet, hosted by CU-Boulder on Friday, February 20.
