LOS ANGELES, Calif. – The Regis University men's track and field team turned in a standout weekend across two competitive meets, delivering multiple school records and personal-best performances at the Bryan Clay Invitational and the Cal State LA Twilight Open.
At the Bryan Clay Invitational, Lyon Craig highlighted the weekend with a historic performance in the men's 5,000 meters. Craig shattered the Regis program record with a personal-best time of 14:33.28, earning a 10th-place finish.
Quinn McKnight followed with a strong showing in the men's 1,500 meters, clocking in at 3:55.87, while Craig doubled back to compete in the same event, finishing in 3:56.42.
Over at the Cal State LA Twilight Open, John Murphy added another milestone for the Rangers, setting a new school record in the men's 1,500 meters with a personal-best time of 4:10.90. William Oakes also delivered a personal-best effort in the men's 5,000 meters, crossing the line in 15:40.64.
With momentum building, the Rangers now turn their focus to the RMAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships, set for April 23–26 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
