COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) announced the winners of the 2025-26 Brechler Awards on Thursday, recognizing the conference's best team grade-point averages for each of its 22 NCAA-sponsored sports throughout the academic year.
Regis swept the Soccer awards, with both Men's and Women's Soccer earning the honor.
The Men's Soccer squad is a repeat winner from last season, while the Women return to the top for the first time since 2023. It is the ninth overall Brechler Award for the Women, and eighth for the Men since the award's inception in 2012-13.
Regis has won the second-most total Brechler Awards with 46, trailing only Westminster at 58. The ninth award for Women's Soccer is tied for the most won by a single program in the league, tied with Colorado School of Mines Men's Swim and Dive.
This year, RU's Women's Soccer went 10-5-4 (6-3-3 RMAC), and earned a spot in the RMAC Tournament. The Rangers were receiving votes in multiple National Top 25 Polls, and peaked at #25. Regis defeated two other ranked teams, including #9 Colorado School of Mines. Natalie Bunch was named both First-Team All-RMAC and Academic All-RMAC. Five other Rangers earned All-RMAC honors, while 11 others were on the RMAC Academic Honor Roll.
The Rangers Men's Soccer team put together a 9-6-4 (6-2-2 RMAC) season, earning the No. 3 seed in the RMAC Tournament, and reaching the semifinals. RU went undefeated against Top-15 teams, including a 3-1 win over #13 Fort Lewis College, leading to them receiving votes in multiple polls. Jan Grillitsch was named Academic All-RMAC, leading 13 Rangers on the Academic Honor Roll, while Julian Fally led six Rangers on the All-RMAC teams, and also being named All-Region.
The Brechler Awards are named in honor of Paul W. Brechler, a former RMAC commissioner (1976-90), and his wife, Wanda Brechler, who were the first inductees into the RMAC Hall of Fame. Each team's GPA is calculated by dividing the total quality points by the total number of credits for each semester. Team GPAs were submitted to the RMAC office by each institution's compliance administrator.
