Betancourt-Tovar and Golov Represent Regis on All-RMAC Preseason Team; Rangers Picked Second in the League

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) has officially released its 2026 Men's Soccer Preseason Coaches Poll, with the Rangers picked to finish second in the league.

Additionally, Regis placed two players on the Preseason All-RMAC team in senior midfielders Jacobo Betancourt-Tovar and Sahar Golov. Both were named Second-Team All-RMAC in 2025. Betancourt-Tovar scored four goals, including two game-winners, and assisted three, while Golov recorded one goal and one assist.

RU collected one first-place vote in the poll, the only team other than defending champions UCCS to pick up a first-place vote. The Rangers also received two second-place votes and three third-place, totaling 85 points in the poll.

UCCS received a perfect 100 points with 10 first-place selections, and Hugo Sjöberg represents the Mountain Lions on the 2026 RMAC Preseason Team. RU beat out Fort Lewis in third with 75 points (3 second-place votes, two thirds), with MSU-Denver not far behind with five second-place votes and 71 points.

CSU-Pueblo, with a league-leading four selections to the Preseason Team, collected 63 points. Westminster University was selected sixth with 61 points, narrowly ahead of Colorado Mesa University, which earned 57. Colorado School of Mines (31), South Dakota Mines (30), Colorado Christian University (23), and Adams State University (9) rounded out the 2026 RMAC Men's Soccer Preseason Coaches' Poll.

Teams received 10 points for a 1st-place vote, 9 for 2nd, etc. Head coaches were not permitted to vote for their team. For the full poll and All-Preseason team, click here.
