DENVER, Colo. – The Regis University men's cross country team competed in their lone event in the mile high city this morning when they raced at the Roadrunner Invitational at Washington Park.
The Rangers took eighth place in the race out of nine competing schools with over 100 individuals in the field. The men ran in an 8K race while the women did a 6K.
Regis was led individually by Quinn McKnight who took home a top 50 finish with him coming in 44th place with a time of 26:50.11. This was his first race of the season as well.
Joining McKnight in the top 50 was Liam Chavez in 46th place with a time of 26:53.71.
Beyond the Rangers' top two racers the group of Jace Ketcham, Cole Oese, Carson Schuler and Alexander Sullivan also competed.
Ketcham took 80th place with a time of 28:14.08 while Oese finished in 88th at 28:35.39.
Schuler was in 91st at 28:42.31 with Sullivan rounding out the group at 31:33.28 for 118th place.
University of Colorado won the race with the top five finishers with other RMAC schools in Colorado School of Mines taking second, Colorado Mesa taking fourth and MSU Denver taking sixth.

Regis will take three weeks off now to train before finding their next race in Hays, Kansas on Oct. 10 for the Fort Hays State University Tiger Open at the FHSU Track and Field Facility.
