SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. – The Regis University Men's Soccer team, ranked #20 in the most recent United Soccer Coaches Top 25 poll, concluded their California road trip with a 0-0 tie against #18 California State University San Bernardino. The Rangers move to 1-1-1, while the Coyotes move to 2-0-2.
HOW IT HAPPENED
CSUSB took the first shot of the game, saved by Zach Jennings. Regis took two shots before the next Coyote attempt, in which they took two quick shots on goal in quick succession, both saved by Jennings. Jacobo Betancourt-Tovar landed the first SOG for RU in the 37th minute, and the stalemate held into halftime.
The Coyotes took three quick shots to open the second, two of which were saved by Jennings. They added one more before Johan Murillo had an attempt for the Rangers. Three straight corners led to two more saves for the Ranger keeper. Blaise Richard and Joakim Gunnar managed shots, but couldn't find the net, as Jennings added two late saves to secure the 0-0 draw.
