Made appearances in eight games, including six starts, during the condensed 2021 season on his way to a 4.81 earned-run average and a 1-2 record … Struck out 36 while allowing 26 runs (18 earned), 38 hits, and 16 walks through 33.2 innings … Earned the win after pitching 6.0 innings in which he struck out seven while giving up four runs, eight hits, and three walks in the Rangers’ 33-16, series-capping win at Adams State on March 21 … Fanned a career-high eight batters while surrendering six runs (five earned), nine hits, and three walks during 7.0 innings of work in Regis’s pod closer at No. 2 Colorado Mesa on March 28 … Made season debut with a seven-strikeout effort through 4.0 innings on the bump in which he allowed just one unearned run, four hits, and a walk in RU’s 15-2, series-closing win over Washburn on Feb. 21 … Racked up a .917 fielding percentage, including five putouts and six assists.

Started in all four of his appearances during the shortened 18-game season … Was third among Rangers in strikeouts (17) as well as tied for third in both innings pitched (20.1) and games started (4) … Ranked fifth on the team in earned-run average (3.98) … Pitched 6.0 scoreless innings in which he struck out a season-high six as well as allowed three hits and six walks in Regis’s 10-2, series-opening road win against the Ichabods of Washburn on Feb. 21 in Lawrence, Kan. … Threw 4.0 innings on the mound during which he struck out three in addition to giving up two earned runs, eight hits, and three walks in RU’s 12-8 victory to open the series against Northern State on Feb. 28 … Ended the season with a 1-2 record, surrendering 11 runs (nine earned), 22 hits, and 14 walks.
