Alex Walker starts his second season in 2021 as one of the volunteer assistant baseball coaches for the Regis University baseball team, serving primarily with outfielders and hitters.
He assisted in bringing the Rangers to an 8-10 overall record during the COVID-19-shortened 2020 season.
Prior to joining Regis, Walker played two seasons at Mesa Community College in Mesa, Ariz. He was named team captain during his sophomore year and received the Thunderbird Award.
Walker then played three seasons at Metropolitan State University of Denver, serving as captain in his junior and senior seasons, and reached the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Championship game during his junior year.
He served one season as an assistant coach with the Colorado Sox in Colorado Springs, Colo., helping lead the team to a 16-7 record.
