Awards:

• 2015 Academic All-RMAC Honor Roll
• 2014 Academic All-RMAC Honor Roll

2015:

• Made 17 appearances on the mound for the Rangers
• Had 21 strikeouts
• Recorded season-high four strikeouts in 7-4 loss against Metro State on March 29

2014:

• Appeared in 11 games with all but one coming in relief
• Had 16 innings of work in 2014
• Threw three innings of shutout ball in the Rangers 5-4 win over Adams State on February 15th.  He scattered three hits and allowed just one walk while striking out one.

2013:

• Saw action in 11 contests while making one start
• Was 1-1 on the season
• Led the Rangers with two saves
• Threw 23 2/3 innings
• Had a 4.94 ERA
• Earned his first collegiate win with an 11-0 win over Colorado Christian on May 4th.  Scattered four hits over six innnings of work to combine for the shutout, while also striking out a season-high three batters
• Earned a save on March 16th in 2-0 win over Colorado Christian by throwing two innings allowing just one hit

Legacy High School:

• A 2012 graduate of Legacy High School in Broomfield, Colo.
• As a senior hit .449 in 18 games which was second on the team
• Had four doubles and drove in 14 runs
• Went 4-1 on the mound in 2012 with a 4.40 ERA
• Second on the team throwing 28.2 innings
• Named First Team All-Front Range in 2012
• Also tabbed Pitcher of the Year in 2011
• Played with future Ranger teammate Ty Overboe at LHS
• Had a 3.88 ERA in 2011
• Hit .333 as a junior
• Earned four letters in baseball and also played two seasons of basketball
• Helped Legacy to four straight district berths
• Earned Academic All-Front Range in 2012
• Played for Impact, Hit Streak and 5280 Baseball club teams

Personal:

• Son of Patrick Long and Dana Long
• Has two older sisters, Heather and Cassie
• Sister Cassie played four seasons in the outfield for the Regis softball team
• Career ambition is to become a sports agent or attorney
