Thomas Gilhooly is the Rangers’ volunteer coach as well as a team alumnus. Gilhooly is a Denver native, who was the 1991 Colorado High School Player of the Year, First-Team All-American and U-17 National Club Champion.Â

Gilhooly was a four-year starter for the Regis University men’s soccer team, the 1993 Forward of the Year and 1996 MVP. During his time at Regis, Gilhooly helped lead the team to four conference title appearances, a 1993 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Championship and a pre-season national ranking of No. 6 in 1994.
Gilhooly’s coaching experience ranges from youth to college. He was the head coach of Thomas Jefferson High School at the age of 22. In his inaugural year, he led the team to its first conference title and postseason appearance, narrowly losing in double overtime to eventual champion Broomfield in the quarterfinals.Â

Gilhooly is also the varsity first assistant coach at Regis Jesuit High School, where he helped guide the 2017 varsity squad to its first conference title in 12 years.Â
His role as volunteer coach is to support and mentor the men’s team for success on and off the field, both during and after their playing careers.Â

Gilhooly has been the VP and founder of Fortune 500 companies, restaurant chains and tech startups. His vast business experience and networks will be used to serve the team for job opportunities and career counseling post-graduation.Â

He serves Regis as the CEO/executive director for Higher Learning Partners of Regis University, has been an advisor to the Office of the President, and is also the director of marketing for the Ratio Wealth Group in Denver.
