Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas - The Rangers ended the North Texas Softball Bash on a positive note with a win over Tarleton State. Regis fell short to Oklahoma Panhandle State in the first game of the doubleheader.

Game 1: Stats were not received for this game as Regis was defeated 8-9 by Oklahoma Panhandle State University.

Game 2: In their solo win of the North Texas Softball Bash, Regis beat Tarleton State 3-2.

The game remained scoreless until the bottom of the fifth inning. Macy Cox reached first on a bunt to start off for the Rangers.

Emily John popped up for the first out of the inning but Cox was able to steal second. Bradey King followed with a single to right field to bring Cox in for the first run of the game. King advanced to second on a stolen base. Carlie Sexton placed a single down the right field line allowing King to score from second.

Regis ended the fifth inning up 2-0.

Tarleton remained quiet in the top of the sixth but Regis was not done yet.

Delaney McGinn singled to the pitcher and then stole second to start the bottom of the sixth. Lauren Hernandez also singled to the pitcher to move McGinn to third.

Logan Losh struck out but Hernandez managed to steal second. Cox connected for a single to the pitcher scoring McGinn and advancing Hernandez to third.

Tarleton State attempted a comeback in the top of the seventh but fell short scoring only two runs.

Game Notes: Regis scored 3 runs on 11 hits with five players going 2-for-3 from the plate. Cox hit 2-for-3, scored once and stole two bases. Logan Losh recorded the win as pitcher and threw eight strikeouts.

Next Up For The Rangers: Regis has their home opener of the season Saturday, February 18 against Adams State University. The Rangers face Adams State Sunday, February 19 as well. Both games are scheduled for a noon start time.
