As Taylor Armitage retired the Falcons in order, the Rangers unleashed a wave of scoring in the bottom of the third that eventually led to the enforcement of the run-rule. Beginning with back-to-back singles from Laura Scheffel and John forced Permian Basin to make a pitching change.

Regis was unfazed by the pitching change as Bradey King was the next at bat and hit a double through the left side to score Scheffel. Finger followed that up with another double and RBI of her own.
