Ryan Tierney singled through the left side bringing junior
Garrett Skillings around to score from second base.
One inning later, the home squad put a four spot on the board to take a 6—0 lead. Most of the damage came on a two-run dinger to left-center field off the bat of Skillings. Regis added to their lead in the bottom of the fourth and fifth innings plating five runs, taking a commanding 11-0 advantage over the Mountain Lions.
Junior

UCCS once again added to their lead with three straight doubles, and a single, in the top of the fifth inning to take a 9-0 lead. The visitors capped off the day with a sacrifice fly to right field scoring their tenth run of the game, and the home team pushed across one run in the bottom of the seventh, but the game ended with the Mountain Lions on top 10-1.
