How It Happened | Game 1: Logan Losh broke the silence at the plate for the Rangers with a solo shot to centerfield in the top of the second. Much different than the second game of the doubleheader yesterday, Regis had four hits through four innings but could not capitalize leaving runners stranded.

The Orediggers evened the score in the bottom of the fifth on a one-out double to left center. On two outs and help from a pair of Colorado Mines errors, Delaney McGinn came across the plate taking advantage of an errant throw to first to regain a slight 2-1 lead.

An offensively productive bottom of the sixth saw the Orediggers extend their lead to 4-2. The Rangers were unable to respond in the top of the seventh falling behind in the series 2-1.

Game Notes: Losh led RU at the plate through the game going 2-for-3 with a run and an RBI. Losh also pitched in all six innings of action striking out two batters. The Orediggers outhit the Rangers 8-5 as the visitors were unable to take advantage of scoring opportunities leaving six runners on base.

How It Happened | Game 2: The Rangers struck first loading the bases early in the lineup on singles from lead-off Emily John and Ca. Sexton. McGinn ripped another single up the middle to record the RBI. With help from an Oredigger walk while the bases remained loaded, Regis held a 2-0 lead after their opening at bat.

Colorado Mines put one on the board in the bottom of the second to come within one, 2-1. Losh recorded her second RBI on the day with a single up the middle that scored pinch runner Michelle Larose, who was running for Ca. Sexton who reached on a lead-off double. Losh's RBI-single gave RU a 3-1 lead.

Back-to-back Oredigger doubles in the bottom of the fourth locked the score once more at 3-3. For the second time this game, Ca. Sexton hit another double to left center on the lead-off at bat. Lauren Hernandez stepped to the plate with two outs and singled to center to score Sexton from second.

As the Rangers held a slight 4-3 lead, a lead-off triple to left field put the tying runner in scoring position. Colorado Mines tied it up again for the third time in the bottom of the fifth at 4-4. RU left a runner on base in the six and seventh as the score remained tied.

Regis was unable to close out the game as the Orediggers produced a walk-off RBI single on two outs late in the bottom of the seventh to take the series 3-1.

Game Notes: Ca. Sexton went a perfect 4-for-4 to lead the Rangers at the plate. She recorded two doubles and scored two runs. The hits column was even for both sides at eight a piece. The Rangers left eight runners on base to Colorado Mines five. Taylor Armitage pitched in all 6.2 innings for RU. Armitage allowed three earned runs facing 32 batters while tallying three strikeouts.
