DENVER, Colo - The No. 13 ranked Regis University women's lacrosse team earned another conference win on Saturday afternoon as they dominated the Fort Lewis College Skyhawks (3-5, 3-2 RMAC) 21-5 to improve to 7-2 overall and 3-0 inside the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC).

How It Happened: Regis matched their best first-half output scoring wise of the season, netting 16 goals in the first 30 minutes of the game, and holding the Skyhawks to only two. Junior
Sarah Myres propelled the Rangers to their massive 14-goal lead at the break registering seven points on four goals and three assists in the opening half.

RU continued to demonstrate their authority in the second half, but they were not as successful as they were in the opening period. Regis allowed Fort Lewis to score three goals, and the Skyhawks held the Rangers offense to only five goals. RU too their foot off the gas pedal in the second half, but they were able to come away with the 21-5 win over the Skyhawks.

Game Notes: Regis has not lost a conference game since April 28
th of 2017, just over 11 months ago. They have now outscored Fort Lewis 45-11 this season, and today they outshot the home squad 30-14, tracking down more ground balls (13-6) and winning the draw control battle in the middle 16-10.

Myres (5 G, 4 A, 2 DC) tied a career-high with nine points in the game as senior Rachel Walker (4 G, 3 A) added seven points of her own. Junior
Wendy Donier (5 G, 1 A, 1 GB) chipped in with five goals in the game. Defensively, freshman
Elle Crawford (W, 5-2) earned the win making four saves and allowing only two goals. Junior
Hope Correia made two saves and allowed three goals during her time in the crease. Sophomore
Andrea Macalalad (1 G, 1 A, 4 GB, 2 CT) led the team with two caused turnovers and four ground balls. Senior
Jada Bonner (3 G, 2 GB, 7 DC) won a game-high seven draw controls and tied a season-high with three goals.

Up Next for the Rangers: The women's lacrosse team will play two matches on the road next weekend as they travel to Salt Lake City, Utah to face the Westminster College Griffins on March 29 at 4 p.m. MST. Two days later, the Rangers will face the Colorado Mesa University Mavericks on March 31 at 1 p.m.Â
