COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) published its 2019 preseason All-RMAC softball release this morning, announcing that the Regis University softball team was tabbed fourth in the coaches' poll.
Regis returns to the diamond after making an appearance in the semi-final round of the 2018 RMAC tournament. The Rangers finished with an overall record of 38-19, including a 30-10 RMAC record.
Dixie State University topped the chart with seven first place votes, totaling 138 points. Colorado Mesa University followed with six first place nods and 135 points while Colorado Christian University secured third on 113 points.
Entering 2019, Regis will be without four of their five All-RMAC selections from 2018. Sophomore
Tori Brown is the lone All-RMAC recipient to return, lending an opportunity for the newcomers to step up and fill important positions on the field in 2019.
The Rangers kick off their season with the St. Mary's College Classic in San Antonio, Texas February 7-10th. They open action against St. Mary's University before facing Texas A&M University-Kingsville, Tarleton State University, Texas A&M University-Commerce and Eastern New Mexico University.
