COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – For the second-straight week, and the third time this season, junior setter
Mara LeGrand has been named the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) Setter of the Week.
LeGrand, who nabs yet another Setter of the Week honor, had another wonderful weekend as she helped lead the team to a 2-0 weekend in South Dakota. In the five-set match with Black Hills State University, LeGrand totaled 48 assists, 13 digs, three kills and two total blocks. She finished with a .214 hitting percentage. However, it was the match against South Dakota Mines where she tore up her opponents.
Against the Hardrockers, LeGrand had 35 assists in three sets, adding seven digs, four service aces, two blocks, and three kills. This time her hitting percentage was .375 giving her six kills with zero errors through the two matches. In total she averaged 10.375 assists per set and 2.5 digs per set.
This weekend, LeGrand and the Regis University volleyball team will host matches on Friday and Saturday. On Friday, the Rangers will match up with the University of Colorado – Colorado Springs Mountain Lions at 7 p.m. The following afternoon, the ThunderWolves of Colorado State University Pueblo will enter the Regis Field House for first-serve at 3 p.m.
