LEXINGTON, Ky. – The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) released the Division II Coaches Top-25 Poll and the Regis University volleyball team (17-5) remains the 24^th-ranked team in the poll.
 
Regis matched up with the No. 1 ranked team in the country, the Metropolitan State University of Denver Roadrunners on Friday of last week, giving the top-ranked team a run for their money in five sets. The Rangers had all the momentum after the third set, but the Roadrunners fought back in front of their home crowd, pushing the match to five sets where they narrowly escaped the upset from RU.
 
The following evening, Regis took down the Colorado Christian University Cougars in four sets to get back on the winning track. Currently, there is a three-way tie for second place in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) Volleyball standings. No. 24 Regis (12-2 RMAC), No. 11 Colorado School of Mines (19-3, 12-2 RMAC) and RV Colorado Mesa University (17-4, 12-2 RMAC) all share the spot right behind No. 1 ranked MSU Denver (20-2, 14-0 RMAC).
 
Up Next for the Rangers: The Regis University volleyball team hosts their final two regular season games of the season this weekend as the Adams State University Grizzlies (Friday, October 5 at 7 p.m.) and the New Mexico Highlands University Cowgirls (Saturday, October 6 at 3 p.m.) come to town. One week later, the Rangers will close out the regular season on the road when they visit the Colorado Mesa University Mavericks and the Westminster College Griffins on November 12 and 13, respectively.
