RU Claims No. 10 Spot for Consecutive Weeks

GRAND LAKE, Colo. – For the second-straight week, the Regis University women's lacrosse team (12-1, 8-0 RMAC) claims the No. 10 spot in the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Division II Coaches' Poll.
 
Regis, winners of 12-straight games, has dominated the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) this season with a perfect 8-0 record, earning the No. 1 seed in the upcoming RMAC Women's Lacrosse Tournament set to begin this Friday, May 7th.
 
The Rangers have been on a resounding pace this season, outscoring their opponents 230-70. The RU offense ranks sixth in the country with a 17.69 goals per game average, and their defense is even better. The Regis defense is only allowing 5.38 goals per game, which is second-best in the country. The defense is also registering the most caused turnovers in the nation with 14.23 per game.
 
This week, the Rangers will open the first-round of the RMAC Tournament with a match against the No. 4 seeded Fort Lewis College Skyhawks at 1 p.m. on Friday, May 7. No. 2 Colorado Mesa University and No. 3 University of Colorado – Colorado Springs will battle at 4 p.m. in the second semifinal contest on May 7. The winner of each semifinal game will advance to the RMAC Tournament Championship on Sunday, May 9 at noon.
