Bordeaux hits even par for first round of NCAA Division II West/South Central Super Regional Championship

Senior only trails leader by four strokes after 18 holes of play

DUPONT, Wash. – Senior Collin Bordeaux of the Regis University men's golf team finished the first day of competition carding an even-par 72 at the NCAA Division II West/South Central Super Regional Championship, held at the first-round, 7,026-yard The Home Course, on Thursday.
 
Bordeaux, who went back to the clubhouse with a share of 16th place after the first round, birdied both the second and third holes of the course. He also recorded birdies on the eighth, 10th, and 14th holes. With his five birdies, Bordeaux is tied for third among competitors who have tabulated the most birdies through the first round.
 
His score reached as low as 1-under on three instances. Bordeaux's score was last as low as 1-under when he registered a birdie on the aforementioned 14th hole.
 
Montana State-Billings of the West Region sits atop the team standings after 18 holes with its score of 4-under 284.
 
Senior Garrett Woodin of the first-place Yellowjackets is pacing the field individually with his score of 4-under 68.
 
Ranked No. 23 in NCAA Division II individually, Bordeaux will kick off the second round of the NCAA Division II West/South Central Super Regional Championship, held at the par-72, second-round, 6,979-yard The Home Course, on Friday at 12:32 p.m. MT.
