DENVER - The No. 15 Regis University men's basketball team's (14-2,9-1 RMAC) matchup with the MSU Denver Roadrunners (13-4, 7-4 RMAC) on Feb. 5 is set to be televised locally on KWGN-Channel 2, MSU Denver Athletics announced Tuesday. The game will be played at the Auraria Event Center at 6 p.m.
The two local Denver teams are in good positions to earn a spot in the NCAA Division II Tournament. The Rangers are currently second in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) and the Roadrunners are fourth.
Since the men's game is set to be televised, the start time of the preceding women's basketball game between Regis and MSU Denver is being moved up to 3:30 p.m.
This week, the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) announced that Regis slipped three spots to No. 15 in the NABC Top-25 Poll after the team fell to Colorado Mesa, 86-80, last Saturday.
RU is set to play Adams State this Friday at 7:30 p.m. in Alamosa.
