COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) has officially announced its 2025-26 Men's Basketball All-RMAC teams and major awards, with two Rangers receiving recognition from the league.
Senior guard Gunner Walters and freshman guard Luke Soden both earned All-RMAC Honorable Mention accolades.
Walters, who earned two Second-Team All-Conference selections at Rochester Christian University before joining Regis, had one of the most prolific passing seasons in Ranger history. The point guard, who was the only Ranger to play and start all 26 games, led the RMAC in assists (164) and assists per game (6.3). He also ranked top-10 in all of NCAA DII in both categories, and top-10 in RU history in both. The Clarkston, Mich. native averaged 9.8 points, 3.1 rebounds, and totaled 17 steals. He had three games with 10+ assists.
Soden was one of the most efficient scorers in the conference this year. Hailing from Bedford, N.H, Soden averaged 17.6 points per contest, the fifth highest in the league, while hitting 3.0 3-pointers per game (2nd RMAC), on 42.6% shooting from deep (4th). He also led the Rangers in rebounding (117, 5.6 per game), while adding 33 assists, 20 steals, and eight blocks. He set his career-high of 27 points against Colorado Christian (2/20), and posted 26 three different times.
Cam Lowe of RMAC Champs Black Hills State was voted the league's Player of the Year, Fort Lewis's Stewart Erhart was named the Defensive Player of the Year, and Shelton Henton of Colorado School of Mines earned Freshman of the Year. Ryan Thompson was voted Coach of the Year for leading the Yellowjackets to their third league title.
