Regis Athletics To Celebrate 36th Annual National Girls & Women in Sports Day With Free Sports Clinic April 3

| By:
DENVER - February 2, 2022 marked the 36th annual National Girls & Women in Sports Day (NGWSD); an annual day of observance held during the first week of February to acknowledge the accomplishments of female athletes, recognize the influence of sports participation for women and girls, and honor the progress and continuing struggle for equality for women in sports.

To celebrate NGWSD, Regis Athletics announced last month it will be inviting female youth athletes (eighth-grade and younger) who would like to learn more about women's sports, meet some Ranger student-athletes and have fun playing games, to a special event at the Regis Field House on Sunday, April 3.

Those in attendance will have the opportunity to participate in any of the seven featured sports including basketball, golf, lacrosse, soccer, softball, cross country and volleyball. The purpose of this event is to help girls recognize and learn more about the importance of women in sports.

Check-in and welcome will be from 9:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. in the Regis Field House lobby. Following that, the clinics will open at 10 a.m. and run until noon. Additionally, a reception with refreshments and food will follow the clinics.

All registered participants, along with one parent, will have free admittance to our home Lacrosse and Softball games on April 3 at 1 p.m. and 2 p.m., respectively. The event is free to attend, but participants must register online through our HomeTown Ticketing webpage.
