DENVER, Colo. – The Regis University Student Athlete Advisory Council is partnering with the Rangers Assistant Men's Basketball Coach, Stanley Owusu-Antwi, and Beyond the COurt Foundation for a Stuff the Bus event on Thursday, December 4.
Owusu-Antwi started Beyond the COurt with the mission to provide opportunities in the Denver metro area through a variety of initiatives; from clothes and toy drives to basketball trainings, it is committed to making a positive impact in our community.
Owusu and BTC run basketball camps in the community that have included special guests such as Denver Nuggets forward, DaRon Holmes. Additionally, he organizes donation drives, collecting new or gently used, clean, school-ready jackets and coats to support students in Denver.
Regis Athletics SAAC has partnered with Owusu for one of these drives, running from now until December 18. SAAC will be collecting coats, jackets, clothes, and toys ahead of the holiday season.
On Thursday, December 4, the Rangers Men's and Women's Basketball doubleheader against New Mexico Highlands will be an ugly sweater game, with games at halftime, to go with the donation drive.
