DENVER, Colo. – Regis University's Robin Wheeler has officially been named the Rangers' Senior Woman Administrator, Director of Athletics & Strategic Partnership Tommy Gilhooly announced this week.
"Robin has held this role at her past institutions and has shown a deep commitment to our students' well-being and shared departmental success," said Gilhooly. "We thank Robin for her willingness to take on this role of responsibility and service."
Wheeler has been with the Rangers for two years, starting as the Head Athletic Trainer, and currently serving as the Deputy Athletic Director for Performance and Student Success in addition to her duties as Head AT and SAAC Staff Advisor.
"I am incredibly honored and excited to step into this new role within the Regis Athletics Department," said Wheeler. "It is a privilege to contribute to the growth and success of Ranger Athletics, and I look forward to continuing that work in an expanded leadership capacity."
The senior woman administrator is the highest-ranking female in each NCAA athletics department or conference office. The purpose of the SWA designation is to promote meaningful representation of women in the leadership and management of college sports.
Wheeler added: "This is an exciting time for our department, and I am grateful for the opportunity to collaborate further with Tommy, our staff, coaches, and student-athletes as we continue building on our momentum and pursuing excellence across all areas of the program."
