Rangers fall to Midwestern State by a 4-0 final

LAREDO, Texas -- The Regis University men's soccer team faced the Midwestern State University Mustangs on Saturday in the last of two games out in Laredo, but were unable to get much traction in a 4-0 loss to the Mustangs.

How It Happened: Midwestern State came out strong in the first half, finishing the opening 45 minutes with a 6-2 shots advantage and taking a 1-0 lead with a goal in the 38th minute.

The Mustangs fed off the momentum, opening the second half with a goal in the 48th minute and tallying two more scores to secure the 4-0 final.

Game Notes:
  • Rangers finished with two shots and a shot on goal by senior forward Anthony Priest.
  • Rangers' graduate student goalkeeper Luca Falagrady finished the game with seven saves

Up Next: The Regis Rangers play game three of their four-game road trip on Thursday, Sept. 1 against California State University, San Bernardino.
