Halle Theis named RMAC Offensive Player of the Week

| By:
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — For the second straight week, the Regis University volleyball team had a student-athlete earn the RMAC Offensive Player of the Week award, announced by the conference on Monday.

Junior outside hitter Halle Theis claims the Week Three award following a week that saw the junior tally 36 kills and hit .491 across two conference victories for the No. 23 ranked Rangers.

Theis posted 10 kills and hit .412 in a sweep of No. 15 ranked Colorado School of Mines last Wednesday before capping her week with a career-high 26 kills in a four-set road win over the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs. Theis hit a blistering .524 and added 10 digs to complete her double-double in the victory.

Theis is the second Regis player in as many weeks to take home the Offensive Player of the Week award, joining sophomore middle blocker Amelia Davis, who earn the honor on Sept. 5.

The Rangers, now winners of five straight matches, will be back in action this weekend with road matchups against Fort Lewis College (6 p.m. Friday) and Western Colorado (5 p.m. Saturday).
