COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) announced the winners of the women's basketball players of the week on Monday, with junior guard Erin Fry earning RMAC Offensive Player of the Week honors for Week 14.
Monday's announcement marks Fry's second Offensive POTW honors in the 2022-2023 season. Her last accolade came in Week 2, on Nov. 21, 2022.
Fry averaged 19.5 points over the two contests this past week, including her second-highest points grab of the season at 22 in the Rangers' 78-67 over Western Colorado University.
The McKinney-native has continued to be a force for the Rangers, averaging a team-high 15.3 PPG and is leading the conference in assists averaging 5.0 APG.
Against UCCS on Tuesday, Fry went 6-for-9 (.667) from the field and shot 2-for-3 (.667) from the 3-point line, totaling 17 points with two assists, one block, and two steals. Her performance against Western Colorado featured a .429 (6-14) shooting percentage from the floor and .444 (4-9) from beyond the arc.
Fry and the Rangers will be back in action to close out their RMAC regular season this weekend when they travel to Las Vegas, NM to play New Mexico Highlands University (5 p.m. Friday) and continue on to Pueblo, Colo. to take on the Colorado State University Pueblo ThunderWolves (5:30 p.m. Saturday).
