COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Regis University softball team wrapped up its road trip to Colorado Springs with two unfortunate losses against the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs Mountain Lions.
The Rangers (14-12 overall, 11-5 RMAC) split the four-game series with the Mountain Lions (8-17 overall, 5-11 RMAC) with the 5-3 loss in Game Three, and the 6-5 heartbreaker in Game Four.
Game One | How It Happened: A back-and-forth offensive battle between the Mountain Lions and the Rangers set the fourth inning up to be the decisive inning for the two teams.
Prior to the fourth, the Rangers had put three runs on the board thanks to a single from sophomore utility Rachel Williams and a sacrifice fly out from freshman outfielder Sienna Reed. The third came from graduate student infielder Jessi Case but was unearned.
Up 3-2 in the fourth, the Mountain Lions were able to add three more runs of their own with the Rangers blanking for the rest of the game.
Game Notes:
Game Two | How It Happened: A late comeback for the Rangers to tie the game, 5-5, in the top of the seventh almost pushed the game into extra innings, but the Mountain Lions decided to go home with a walk-off home run in the bottom of the seventh.
The Rangers scored two in the top of the second thanks to graduate student outfielder Hannah Sisul's two-RBI single.
A groundout from Miia Campos, a home run from Olivia Wick, and a walk from Wick scored three across the fifth through seventh innings to tie the game at 5-5, but the Mountain Lions hit a walkoff home run in the bottom of the seventh.

Up Next: The Rangers return to Ranger Softball Field in Denver, Colo. to host the Fort Lewis College Skyhawks. First pitch is scheduled for 12 p.m. on Saturday.
