GOLDEN, Colo. – The Rangers started their four-game stand against the Orediggers in grand fashion, scoring 16 runs on 19 hits.
Game One | How It Happened: It was a battle of the bats in Game One as the Rangers opened up their third RMAC series against the Orediggers on Saturday.
Regis took Game One, 5-4, after erupting for eight hits through the seven innings.
The Rangers started their scoring early after plating two runs in the second and third innings. Run one came from graduate student infielder Jessi Case's fourth RBI of the season while the second came from freshman outfielder Sienna Reed to continue her breakout campaign.
The Orediggers did not go away quietly as they put a crooked number of their own on the scoreboard during the fifth and sixth innings to make it, 4-2, by the top of the seventh.
Sophomore transfer Abby Larsen has found her stride as a Rangers as she tied the game for the Rangers with a two-run double down the left field line.
The winning run for the Rangers came from a fielder error from the Oredigger's catcher.
Junior right-hander Katherine Raper handled the home team's hitters and earned the win for the Rangers, 5-4.

Game Two | How It Happened: The Rangers notched their third run-rule of the season thanks to an explosive third and fourth inning.
Mines jumped out to an early lead, 1-0, in the bottom of the first, but Regis' bats were quick to respond.
Three RBIs in the third inning kicked things off for Regis as sophomore infielder Rachel Williams, Larsen, and senior infielder Shayelyn Allen all reached base safely while also pushing across three runs. Reed reached on error and also plated another run for the Rangers to make it 5-1 in the top of the third.
A total of seven hits in the top of the fourth propelled Regis to a 11-3 lead until the final out of the inning was called. The biggest hit of the top of the fourth came from Larsen as she homered to left center to score three for the Rangers.
The Orediggers scored another two runs in the bottom of the third but both junior right-hander Alexis Kemp and Raper kept the Colorado School of Mines' bats quiet for the rest of the game.
