COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — The No. 3 ranked Regis University women's lacrosse team swept the RMAC Player of the Week awards for Week Seven, making the second time the team has accomplished the feat in 2023.

Senior midfielder Bailey Truex earned her second RMAC Offensive Player of the Week award, while junior Lily Ferguson picked up her second Defensive Player of the Week nod after each helped the Rangers to an undefeated weekend with wins of 17-11 against Colorado Mesa and 20-4 against Westminster College.

Truex led all Regis players with eight goals on the weekend on just 10 shot attempts, highlighted by a five-goal performance last Thursday in the win over the Mavericks, followed up by another hat trick in Saturday's matinee against the Griffins.

As for Ferguson, she was a menace on the defensive end Thursday as she caused five turnovers and set a career high with eight ground balls against Colorado Mesa. She'd finish her week with two goals, two assists, 10 total ground balls, seven caused turnovers and nine draw controls.

Regis will be back in action Saturday when it starts the second trip through the RMAC scheduled against the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs.
